SiC Heating Elements.
 (Type : (RR, TW, RA, DB, SE, SER, ETCS)

The Starbar heating element has a maximum use temperature of 3100ºF (1700ºC).


 

RR/TW Starbars are described by giving the overall length, the heating section length, and the diameter.
As an example, RR 43*24*1 is a Starbar 43" overall with a 24" hot zone, and 1" in diameter


 

 RA Starbars are described by giving the hot zone length, the cold end length, and the diameter.
As an example, RA 24*12*1 is a Starbar with a 24" hot zone, 12" cold ends, and 1" in diameter


 

 DB Starbars are described by giving the overall length, the heating section length, the hot zone outer diameter and the cold end outer diameter.
As an example, DB 22 x 15 x .31/.50 is a Dumbbell Starbar 22 inches long, 15 inch hot zone, .31 hot zone OD and .50 cold end OD.
In millimeters the part number would be DB 560 x 380 x 8/14. For sizes available, please refer to Table B, DB Starbar Dimensions.


 

 SE and TSE Starbars are described by giving the overall length, the heating section length, and the diameter.
As an example, SE 36 x 14 x 1 is a spiral element 36" long with a 14" hot zone and 1" in diameter.
In millimeters, a SE 914 x 356 x 25 is a spiral element 914 mm long with a 356 mm hot zone and 25 mm in diameter.
A TSE 36 x 14 x 3 is a tube-type spiral element 36" long with a 14" hot zone, and a 3" outer diameter.
In millimeters, a TSE 914 x 356 x 75 is a tube-type spiral element 914 mm long with a 356 mm hot zone and 75 mm outer diameter.


 SER and TSR Starbars are described by giving the overall length, the heating section length, and the diameter.
As an example, SER 24 x 16 x 1.25 is a Spiral Starbar 24 inch long with a 16 inch hot zone and an outside diameter of 1.25 inch.
In millimeters an SER 610 x 406 x 32 is a Spiral Starbar 610 mm long with a 406 mm hot zone and an outside diameter of 32 mm.
